After stints on Tallafornia and Big Brother, Marc O'Neill says he hopes he will be remembered for more than his reality tv appearances in 20 years time.
The Kildare native was recently evicted from the Big Brother house after drumming up his fair share of controversy.
However, the 29-year-old told TV3 that he is more concerned with finding a cure for cancer than living off his fame.
"I don't want to be that 50-year-old lad pulling 18-year-old birds saying, 'I'm that fella off Big Brother - do you remember me?!'"
Instead, the former stripper is hot footing it to California to pursue the next chapter of his life.
"In December I'm going to finally grow up and be a scientist in L.A. If it falls through or I don't want to be a scientist...the beach is there!"
"I'll work in a lab and we will work with anti-diabetic drugs and hopefully later I will be working with the big boys which will be anti-cancer drugs."
