'Mammy doesn't know I'm gay but I could be with you in my shed' - Irish celebs reveal dating experiences

Several Irish celebs have opened up on their dating experiences ahead of the premiere of First Dates Ireland next week.
In a series of interviews for RTE Player, Al Porter, Vogue Williams, Holly Carpenter, and The Viper of The Hardy Bucks fame give their advice on dating, and reveal their dating disasters.
Comedian Al reveals a particularly dodgy chat up line, "Hey man, if I woke up gay tomorrow you'd be the one for me."
He also revealed he did a gig in Tipperary where he was stopped by a guy who said he knew "a gay person" who he then proceeded to introduce to Al.
"This guy comes over to me - he has a comb-over and he's 25 - and he says, 'Here, Mammy doesn't know I'm gay but I could be with you in my shed'."
Al also recalled booking a holiday to Amsterdam with a suitor after their very first date.
"Don't act too impulsively," he tells would-be daters. "I booked a trip to Amsterdam with somebody after our first date.
"Oh, we went. It was tough work. They were a great person but we weren't right for each other and we would have known that if we'd gone on a second date - rather than a holiday!"
Model Holly Carpenter says she's not a fan of guys who are too "smooth".
"If a guy was really smooth and like slithered up to me and was like, 'Hey', I just couldn't... I wouldn't be into it at all. It's just too cheesy," she says.
She adds, "Netflix and chill should never be suggested as a first date. That is so cheeky."
She also advises not to start drinking before you go on a date, unlike Vogue Williams, who says, "Definitely have at least one drink."
The Viper advises lads to watch romcoms and pick up tips from Billy Crystal in When Harry Met Sally and Ben Stiller in There's Something About Mary.
"They say you can laugh a woman into bed but that was another failure," he adds. "I laughed at everything she did and said and she just left. That was the shortest date I ever had."
His ideal date should look "class" and ideally be wearing a cat suit.
