Louis Walsh brands replacement X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw a 'bad booking' and says he's 'like a groupie'
Louis Walsh has taken a pop at Nick Grimshaw, his replacement on the X Factor judging panel for the new series.
In an interview with Gogglebox stars Steph and Dom on their new Channel 4 chat show Louis let loose and described Radio One DJ Grimshaw as a "bad booking".
Grimshaw was announced as Louis' replacement earlier this year when Louis was axed from the line-up by Simon Cowell after an 11-year stint.
"He's a nice enough guy," said the Mayo music manager of Grimmy, before sticking the knife in, "But he's like a groupie. You only ever see him with famous people."
Walsh also took a pop at Cheryl Fernandez Versini again.
"She's very ambitious. She's not there for the music," he said.
It had been rumoured that Louis would make a return to the show in some capacity, rumours which Louis has done little to dispel, stating "anything is possible" on Loose Women last week.
A return for Judges' Houses was most likely although it was this week announced that Simon, Nick, Cheryl and Rita Ora would be joined by One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, Mark Ronson, Jess Glynne, and Meghan Trainor respectively.
