Strictly Come Dancing beat The X Factor by nearly 1 million viewers in the ratings when the two talent shows clashed for the first time.

Attending yesterday's IFTA Television Awards, the singers were asked what is going wrong with the show that made them famous.

"I feel they need to get Steven Spielberg in. He directed Avatar and Titanic. He can save the day," one of the twins said.

The Lucan brothers added that its simply not the same without Louis Walsh.

"You don't go near the original cast. You don't mess with the formula," the one in the red suit said.

"Louis was like the Rachael of the X-Factor," the other one chimed in.

"He had the hair. He had some work done. He looked okay."

"Yeah, I feel that if they make another series then bring Louis back," they both agreed.

The twins were presenting two awards at last night's award ceremony, which will be broadcast on TV3 at 9pm tonight.
