'I've waited 20 years for this, you're gonna wait' - Taraji P Henson refuses to be played off Golden Globes stage

Taraji P. Henson pretty much won the Golden Globes.

The 45-year-old acterss won the Best Actress in a TV drama statue for her portrayal as Cookie Lyon in the smash hit Empire and she was going to savour every moment on stage, no matter what.

Henson beat some of television's best known names for the gong, including Kerry Washington (Scandal), Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder), Caitriona Balfe (Outlander) and

While accepting the award, organisers tried to play her off stage, to which she replied: "I've waited 20 years for this, don't tell me to wrap it up. You're gonna wait!"

For the rest of the evening, she was glued to her award and was grinning from ear to ear.
