Irish actress Ruth Negga is a bonafide tv star.

The 33-year-old, who grew up in Limerick, stars as  Tulip O'Hare in AMC's Preacher opposite boyfriend Dominic Cooper, and she dished on what to expect in the upcoming seasons.

Negga, who previously starred season one of RTE gangland drama Love/Hate, stars in summer blockbuster Warcraft and featured on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Network bosses are hoping to replicate the success of fellow comic book turned tv series The Walking Dead, securing an all-star cast including Seth Rogen and Kevin Smith as co-writer.

Garth Ennis, who created the comics, said the show won't veer too far from his graphic novel series over the upcoming season.

"I think what you’ll see is a lot of stuff from the books, maybe just like season 1, not necessarily in the sequence you’re expecting them. But I think you will start to see more and more stuff from the books,” he told Entertainment Weekly at Comic Con.

"It’s been brilliant seeing the whole thing come to life the way it has. Seeing the Saint ride down the street, seeing Jesse meet Cassidy, seeing Tulip do awful things to people, seeing Arseface warbling his way through the episode, it’s just been brilliant."
