Aisling O’Loughlin has admitted she doesn’t miss being on TV every day and would never return to the fast-paced career she had on Xpose.

The Clare woman was a host on the TV3 series for 10 years before she was axed along with Lisa Cannon and Peter O’Riordan.

Far from being upset, Aisling feels relieved that she doesn’t  have to worry so much about her appearance every day and has enjoyed spending more time with her children Patrick (5), Louis (3) and one-year-old Joe.

“I haven’t even pitched an idea, to be honest. I’m really enjoying slow living. Stopping has been an absolute luxury,” she said.

“I don’t think I’ll ever go at that pace ever again. It was my 20s and early 30s. It wouldn’t suit me now.

“It was always a mad dash in the mornings. Of course there was pressure to look your best, especially on Xpose.

“Some days you win and some days you lose.

You try not to take it too seriously. I like to wear whatever I want to wear.”

Should Aisling ever return to the small screen, she said she would only do it on her own terms.

“I would be a contributor on something. I wouldn’t hand over my life to it again. Employers only want contractors now,” she said.

“The whole business model has changed. Maybe it’s changing for the better.”
