'I have literally no idea what the hell I'm watching' - Nobody understands Twin Peaks season 3 but everyone loves it anyway
The third season of Twin Peaks kicked off last night after a 26 year break and, yet again, nobody has any idea what's going on.
Not that that's an issue - David Lynch fans are revelling in the weirdness and confusion of the first episodes of the cult TV show which picked up where it left off and confirmed that the Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) who smashed his face into the mirror was in fact his doppelganger.
The real Dale Cooper, meanwhile, is still locked up in the Black Lodge where the trapped spirit of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) tells him his time there is up and he must leave and she tells him a secret, but viewers don't know what it is yet.
Elsewhere, there was a brutal murder in Buckhorn, South Dakota while the Man from Another Place transformed into a talking tree and another man was tasked with guarding a mysterious box looking out on the New York skyline but that particular job doesn't end well for him as an entity escapes and kills him and his girlfriend.
Despite the madness, fans bowed at the altar of Lynch...
