She may have been brought in to cover Karen Koster's maternity leave, but Cassie Stokes already has her heart set on a permanent position on Xpose.

The TV star (28) was recently announced as the replacement for Karen who departed the series on maternity leave after giving birth to her second son, John James, in February.

With a month already under her belt fronting TV3's flagship entertainment series, Cassie has her fingers crossed that the Ballymount bosses will make her permanent.

"I would love to stay on, [I would] love it," she told the Herald.

"Hopefully [I will] ,in an ideal world. Who wouldn't want to?"

While some people may think the life of a TV host is easy, the Dundrum-born beauty insisted that is not the case.

"Maybe it is easy to some people but we work really hard," she said. "My first day, the girls were sitting there cutting stuff and then straight into studio.

"It's a lot of work. It's chaos in a lovely way. I can't complain. I'm in the honeymoon phase so I love it. It's all hands on deck.

"It's such a small team and it's an hour-long programme so everyone does a bit of everything."

Cassie previously revealed she has dated both men and women in the past and is looking for love once more.

"I'm never going back to guys. I'm only interested in girls. I think it's important to be open about your sexuality, no matter who you are."
