‘He’s the life of that show’ – Gary Barlow doesn’t want X Factor without Louis Walsh
Gary Barlow has revealed he was shocked by news of Louis Walsh's possible exit from X Factor and said he does not want the Irish judge to leave.
"I really hope he doesn't leave," he told the MailOnline. "To me he's the life of that show.
"He brings the silliness to it and that's what everyone loves. He's a big part of it behind the scenes too. I don't think they should lose him."
Gary, who was a judge on the show for three years, is not convinced that Louis is gone for good, and added, "I think what could happen is he might leave and then they'll get to auditions and send a plane for him."
He previously stated that Louis would be "back a week before live auditions".
The Mayo music manager, however, last week said he was "finished" with the reality singing competition after 11 years, and wanted to return to managing bands.
He has also been tipped to be involved in a brand new series, Ireland's Got Talent.
Speaking to Martin King and Sheana Keane on TV3's The Seven O'Clock Show last week he said, he was "done" with X Factor.
"'I think they are going to change the show. I think they are going to get new faces."
"I know Dermot [O'Leary] is gone - and I don't know who else will be back."
"Simon will probably be back because it's his show. Cheryl [Cole]... I'm not sure. I don't know who else will be back."
