Former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh lands presenting role on Irish TV

Former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh has joined the team at Irish TV.

Aoife (25) will be the new presenter of Dublin County Matters, the channel's half hour weekly programme broadcast from Dublin.

It brings viewers a round-up of news, views and events from around Dublin City and county.

Speaking about her new role, the Tipperary native said, “I am delighted to joining the team at Irish TV as the new presenter for Dublin County Matters.

"As I am from the country myself, I love getting involved in local communities and this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase local stories to a global audience and I look forward to connecting with new people every day.

"Getting involved in presenting has been something I have wanted to do for a long time so I am over the moon to get the opportunity to do so and excited for what the future holds”.

‘Dublin County Matters’ airs every Thursday at 7pm on Irish TV
