The 29-year-old shot to fame as Nessa Dillon on Fair City before leaving the show in 2015. She has enjoyed roles in The Fall aa stage production of Pride and Prejudice and will soon be starring in Ross O'Carroll Kelly's Breaking Dad.

And as her popularity continues to rise, she said she wouldn't turn down a "beautiful script" because it required nudity.

"It depends on the story, if it is really necessary and it is not just thrown into scripts for the sake of it. There are some beautiful scripts that require elements of it," she told the Irish Daily Star.

"Sometimes I feel like there can be too much of it, in the likes of Game of Thrones, which is thrown in really for the sake of it. To get cast in a role and that's all you're doing, then I would say no to something like that. If it is just a small portion to what the character is bringing to the story, then of course, yes. It's part of the gig."

While some actors and actresses have no qualms about stripping off in a scene, A-listers like Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon all have clauses in their contracts saying nudity is off the table.

The newly engaged star, who will wed hotel manager John Burke this year, had originally planned to move to Los Angeles, but put that on the backburner as "family, life and work" took priority.
