Ever think you'd like to experience First Dates but don't fancy the pressure of having your already nerve-wracking blind date broadcast on TV?

Coco Television are currently looking for 'background daters' for the upcoming Irish series of First Dates.

The show seeks single people who would like to go on a 'genuine first date' in the First Dates restaurant, without being featured in the programme.

All background dates go on a real blind date in the First Dates restaurant and get a slap up meal and the chance of finding a partner - without the pressure of the TV show spying on proceedings.

First Dates has been a huge success for Channel 4 in the UK and has even resulted in the show's first marriage between daters who appeared on the show.

The compelling series charts blind dates set up by producers as they unfold over a meal in a London restaurant.

The location of the Dublin restaurant has yet to be revealed but filming will take place between January 15 and 18 and the series will air on RTE 2.

To apply, fill out a simple form on the Coco Television website HERE or call 01-4970817.

There have reportedly been 2,500 applications to appear on the show as featured daters.
