Emotional scenes as Emmerdale helicopter crash claims its first victim
Last night's episode of Emmerdale featured emotional scenes as the tragic fallout from the helicopter crash unfolded.
Cafe barista Ruby Haswell (Alicia Eyo) was the first victim claimed by the crash and viewers were shocked to witness her dying in the arms of Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) and Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton).
The husband and wife found Ruby trapped under a pile of rubble inside the crumbling wedding venue but soon realised they could not move her because she was so badly injured.
Bride Debbie (Charley Webb) meanwhile escaped with her life and was carried to safety by her new husband Pete (Anthony Quinlan).
Just before the tragic accident Pete had found out that Debbie had been cheating on him with his brother Ross (Mike Parr).
While Emmerdale bosses are keen to keep viewers guessing as to who may or may not die next, The Daily Mail reports that several characters have been spotted filming on West Yorkshire.
Chrissie (Louise Marwood) and her ex husband Robert (Ryan Hawley) were both seen filming with Rakesh Kotecha (Pasha Bocarie), Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) and Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen).
Tuesday night's hour-long disaster special was one of the most dramatic the soap has ever seen.
Pete and Debbie's wedding celebrations end in disaster after Pete hires the helicopter to take his new wife on a romantic ride following their ceremony.
As they're celebrating at the hall, hubby and wife Chrissie and Robert start a row at the scrapyard and Chrissie sets Robert's car on fire. He thinks he has put it out but it creeps closer to a batch of canisters and a car in which Adam Barton is asleep.
A huge explosion erupts from the canisters and hits the helicopter which then crashes spectacularly into the hall, with Debbie, Pete and their guests inside.
