Emmerdale disaster special - is Debbie Dingle going to die on her wedding day?
Emmerdale's hour long-special looks set to be one of the most dramatic episodes ever as disaster befalls Debbie and Pete's wedding day.
While weddings are generally happy occasions, in the alternate reality of soapland they're generally fraught by family feuds and general disaster.
Tonight's nuptials are no exception. In fact, it could be one of the most dramatic weddings the dales has ever seen.
The residents of the village are set to face a terrifying disaster as Pete and Debbie's wedding celebrations at the village hall are cut short when a helicopter crashes into the venue.
Whether or not Debbie survives is unclear, although it's a distinct possibility she may meet her demise as actress Charley Webb has said, "She definitely is [in danger] - who knows if she gets out of there alive?"
Pete is the unwitting orchestrator of the disaster as he hires the helicopter to take his new wife on a romantic ride following their ceremony.
However, as they're celebrating at the hall, hubby and wife Chrissie and Robert start a row at the scrapyard and Chrissie sets Robert's car on fire. He thinks he has put it out but it creeps closer to a batch of canisters and a car in which Adam Barton is asleep.
A huge explosion erupts from the canisters and hits the helicopter which then crashes spectacularly into the hall, with Debbie, Pete and their guests inside.
Meanwhile, Adam awakens to find flames surrounding the vehicle and it looks like he may be another casualty of the disaster.
