The drama reaches a crescendo on Fair City tonight as Flynn's reign of terror continues and Carol struggles to escape.
Flynn accuses Carol of calling the Guards and she fails to convince him otherwise as Robbie (Karl Sheils), Niamh (Clelia Murphy) and Paul (Tony Tormey) arrive back to the bar and are shocked to see Flynn there brandishing a gun.
He refuses to let Niamh and Paul go and orders Niamh to tie everyone up while he leaves a message for Cathal to get in touch as he's in a situation and can't leave until he knows he got everything from the hotel.
Shortly afterwards Flynn realises his phone battery is dying and Robbie tells him the only working phone is in the office. As Flynn goes, Robbie uses the phone behind the bar to call for help but Flynn catches him.
Thinking on his feet Robbie bluffs and says he was calling his own guys who are on their way to the hotel to sort out Cathal. Robbie tells Flynn to let Carol, Paul and Niamh go and he will instruct his guys to let Cathal go in return.
Later on, Rachel decides to follow Niamh and Paul to the Station bar and is surprised to find the door locked and is about to walk away when it opens. SHe doesn't realise Flynn is behind it and she texts Pierce to let him know she's in.
Flynn confesses that he is not a well man and doesn’t have long to live and therefore he doesn’t care who he takes down with him.
Carol sees an opportunity to free herself, but Flynn catches her and becomes violent before taking her to the office and tying her up separately from the others.
Speaking about the episode Aisling O’Neill who plays Carol Foley says; “Flynn and Carol have history and go way back, back to Billy Meehan days!"
She adds, "I’m really excited about the storyline and was so happy to be involved, it has definitely been one of my favourites.
"The whole team from the actors to the writers, the story team, the producers and the directors worked so hard to produce these episodes and I really hope people at home enjoy watching them just as much as we enjoyed making them.”
Elsewhere in the episode Debbie realises she is in grave danger when Cathal says he has to talk to Flynn before he can decide what he should do with her. She tries to convince him to let her go but Cathal is worried she knows too much.
Meanwhile Tommy enters the basement to check on the trip-switch which was causing problems earlier. Cathal hears him coming and quickly hides and covers Debbie’s mouth to prevent her from screaming.
Debbie desperately tries to get Tommy’s attention, but he ignores the noise. It only serves to convince Cathal that Debbie can't be trusted.
Speaking about his character Cathal, Eric Lalor says, "He’s backed into a corner and he doesn’t know how he will get out of this one. He’s worried what Flynn will do when he finds out that Debbie knows everything so he’s in a really sticky situation. One thing is for sure though; he’s not going down without a fight...."
He adds, "Cathal is great fun to play and the scenes were very exciting to film, I loved every minute of it. The entire Fair City team did a great job on it and I really hope people at home enjoy watching it."
