Dragons' Den is returning to RTE One for a seventh series next year after a two-year hiatus.
Richard Curran will be back to present but regular Dragon Gavin Duffy will be joined by a new line-up of fellow Dragons - yet to be announced - to scrutinise the start ups and analyse the businesses.
Dragons’ Den first aired in 2009 and since then the Dragons have heard over 360 pitches and invested in over 80 businesses with an investment figure of over €4 million.
With Ireland starting to emerge from the depths of recession - 114 new businesses were started every day in August - RTE believes it's time to bring the show back.
"Not only does Dragons’ Den provide hugely engaging television viewing for Irish audiences but it also offers invaluable support for Irish entrepreneurs who have been key to the Irish economy’s recovery and RTÉ is committed to supporting emerging business ideas," said Ray McCarthy, Commissioning Editor, RTÉ television.
Applications are now open for people with new start ups or successful businesses in need of investment.
Dragons’ Den will be broadcast in the Spring of 2016 and is produced by ShinAwiL for RTÉ.
