We've had blue wedding dresses and ceremonies in Ikea through this series of Don't Tell the Bride and tonight's series finale is just as engaging as Carlow groom Colm Gethings opts for a Peaky Blinders theme complete with gangsters and gambling and... curry chips.

Colm (32) is determined to plough ahead with his 1920s Blinders plans despite a vote of no confidence from his mates.

The kitchen porter met his retail assistant Jane Togher (26) four years ago on a dating site and now live in Carlow with their two daughters Saoirse and Sophia.

Romantic Colm proposed to Jane while she was in the middle of changing a dirty nappy.

The happy couple unfortunately faced some difficulties when Colm lost his job and they lost their home and had to move in with Jane's family.

However, they've bounced back with a new house, a new job and a wedding on the horizon.

It's perhaps not quite the stately home affair Jane would like.

Colm's vision involves gangsters, gambling, throwback 1920s suits and a wedding reception in a racetrack with curry chips on the wedding menu.

His wedding date reveal, however, goes down a storm, particularly with Jane's dad.

Ever the romantic, Colm (who reckons he has two left feet) also learns to dance the Charleston especially for his bride.

RTE 2, 10pm, tonight (Monday April 3)
