RTE reporter Teresa Mannion will front an ad campaign for the Road Safety Authority following her news report that went viral last year.

A video of Teresa telling road users, "Don't take risks on treacherous roads," during Storm Desmond last year went viral worldwide and, as a result, she is fronting an ad campaign for the RSA.

"After all the fun and jokes about prom night the RSA asked me to do some work with them," she said about the video, which was filmed at the promenade in Salthill, Galway, on RTE's Ray D'Arcy Show on Saturday.

"We just made some online videos that will be launched by Government ministers next week in Dublin for the winter-ready campaign."

"I think it's going to be part of the national psyche for some time," the mother-of-two said of the now famous report.
