Courteney Cox ate ‘scrotum full of maggots' while in Ireland filming with Bear Grylls
Hollywood actress Courteney Cox clearly does not share her Friends character Monica’s abhorrence of anything unclean.
Cox (52) joined adventurer Bear Grylls in Kerry last month to film his new TV series Running Wild, and the star braved it out in the wild.
The day of filming began with an early start for Cox who left Killarney's five-star Hotel Europe and her Snow Patrol musician boyfriend Johnny McDaid behind for the elements.
The former Friends star had to eat a ‘scrotum full of maggots’ for the show.
Grylls told how the pair thought they'd won the jackpot when they found a dead sheep for dinner meat. Instead, they found maggots - apparently the perfect back-up meal.
Courteney will star in the survival show alongside champion ski racer Lindsey Vonn for two days of gruelling tasks.
“It is raining and windy – the adventure with @courteneycox is going to be a big one!” wrote Co Down native Bear on Twitter, leaving no doubt that the challenges the stars endure will be intense.
The Emerald Isle has been reported to be a potential venue for Cox and her Snowpatrol beau as they prepare to walk down the aisle, with Ashford Castle in Co Mayo being named as a potential choice.
