Nerves get the better of Hazel Ryan Sheehan as she tackles bread week on the baking show.
During filming of the fifth episode, which airs tonight, the 31-year-old Limerick woman falls ill whilst talking to host Anna Nolan.
When Anna notices a pale and drawn Hazel is unsteady on her feet she asks her if she's okay, to which Hazel replies, "Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just a little shaky for some reason. I didn't sleep last night so I just feel a little weak today but I think I should be okay."
However, Anna suggests she have a sit down and Hazel agrees she should "have a little breather" but suddenly St John's Ambulance paramedics are on set to assist Hazel out of the tent.
Hazel doesn't return to finish the technical challenge, leaving her fellow contestants wondering about her fate, and theirs.
Hazel later blamed the episode on "stress-induced exhaustion" and told the Irish Sun, "It's incredibly stressful being on the Bake Off."
This episode of The Great Irish Bake Off airs tonight on TV3 at 9pm.
