Cheryl left fuming after fellow X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw calls her 'Cheryl Cole'
It's not the four letter 'C word' that most people would be offended by - but Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was left outraged when fellow X Factor judge called her by her former married name Cheryl Cole.
BBC Radio 1 host Nick Grimshaw made the ultimate slip up when he called the Geordie singer 'Cheryl Cole' during the London auditions.
According to onlookers, the former Girls Aloud star snapped back, "It's Cheryl or Chezza!"
Not knowing where to look, fellow judge Rita Ora said, "I'm backing away" while media mogul Simon Cowell quipped, "Awkward, awkward".
The petite performer changed her name following her surprise marriage to French businessman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini last summer.
Born Cheryl Tweedy, Cole was her married name during her union with footballer Ashley Cole, whom she wed in 2006.
Despite their separation in 2010, the brunette beauty continued to use the name professionally.
