Dublin rockabilly star Imelda May still doesn't know whether she'll be coming back to front her hit RTE show, but if she is, she has plenty of A-list singers who want to join her.
The Liberties native has not yet heard back from RTE on the future of 'The Imelda May Show', but as far as she's aware, it's not coming back.
"I haven't been asked to do another one, so I'll see if they ask me to do another one and I'll see if I'm free," she told Independent.ie on the IFTA Television Awards red carpet.
The Mayhem singer, however, has plenty of ideas for a new season if RTE do come knocking.
"Lots of bands are getting in touch with me now, because they've heard of it and it seems to be getting a good reputation.
"Huge names are coming to me saying they want to be on the show," she said.
One such A-listed who wants to join Imelda on stage is 'Bat Out of Hell' singer Meatloaf, who she met up with recently on a trip to Los Angeles.
"I was out with him and he said 'I want to be on it. I want to do your show'
"He's a pal of mine. He asked me to record with him. First time I met Meatloaf, we ended up doing the conga together in New York," she said.
"We kept in touch."
The award-winning singer has just finished writing music for her latest album and is expected to hit the recording studio any day now.
