Arnold Schwarzenegger to replace Donald Trump as host of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’
Trump is out and Arnie is in, as NBC enlists the bodybuilder turned politician to take over as host of 'The Celebrity Apprentice'.
Schwarzenegger will take over from the outgoing host, but fans of the show won't see him grace tv screens until next year.
The popular show, which invites celebrities to show off their entrepreneurial skills, will not return to the air until 2016.
“I have always been a huge fan of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ and the way it showcases the challenges and triumphs of business and teamwork,” Schwarzenegger said of his new role. “I am thrilled to bring my experience to the boardroom and to continue to raise millions for charity. Let’s get started!”
Donald Trump bowed out of the show in 2014 because of his decision to run got the American Presidency.
“After leaving the show to run for political office, Donald made it clear that he wanted ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ to be able to continue to raise millions of dollars annually for worthy causes, and now NBC and I have found an amazing new leader to do just that,” the show's producer Mark Burnett said.
“Gov. Schwarzenegger will use his vast and highly successful business, political and media experience to drive this hit franchise to new heights.”
