Are there ghosts in the GPO? Staff certainly seem to think so...
As well as the 950 staff rambling the rooms, floors, and corridors of Dublin's General Post Office, it seems like there may be one or two extra uninvited guests.
Cleaner Sue Gannon and patrolman Philip Freer are best friends who both believe they have encountered ghosts on in the historic O'Connell Street building late at night.
They make the claims in tonight's RTE One documentary 'Inside the GPO'.
"I can tell you now there is a ghost in the GPO," says Sue to Philip.
"I was here one night with Christy Mitchell. You know the way he wears headphones? Hew kept shouting at me, 'What, what do you want me for?' I had to keep turning the hoover off and saying, 'What are you talking about?' and he said, 'You keep tipping me on the shoulder!'"
Philip adds, "I'm seriously convinced that i actually seen someone on the second floor... just went past me."
Sue agrees that there is the "odd ghost" in the building, but adds, "You can't be afraid of them. Just say, 'Come on, let's go!'. Sometimes the lift doors could open on a floor that you haven't even pressed. So you just go with the flow, 'Hello, come on in, I'm going up to the fourth floor. Join me if you want."
The documentary goes behind-the-scenes in Ireland's busines post office as the anniversary of the 1916 Rising approaches.
Sue and Philip star in the first episode and they give viewers a snapshot of the building after the doors close.
