Angie Bowie to stay in Celebrity Big Brother house following news of ex husband David Bowie's death
Celebrity Big Brother contestant and ex wife of David Bowie, Angie Bowie, has decided to stay in the house after hearing the news of the iconic musician's death.
A statement from Channel 5 reads: "Following the very sad news of David Bowie's death, we can now confirm that Angie Bowie has been informed off camera by her representatives.
"She has taken the decision to continue in the programme.
"The decision to remain in the House is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time if she changes her mind. Appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed."
The 66-year old former model divorced the musician in 1980 after 10 years of marriage. They share one son, Duncan Zowie Haywood Jones, 44.
She has spoken about her ex-husband several times since entering the house on January 5 and accused him of turning their son against her.
She said: "I don't see him (Duncan) at all. He doesn't like me. But my daughter loves me so it's good."
On the question of why her son chose not to see her, she said: "I guess David told him not to."
