She may have got the axe from Xpose but Aisling O'Loughlin has admitted she would have been a "fraud" to stay on the show because she doesn't care about the showbiz gossip featured in the series.

The long-running TV3 show has undergone several changes since the Clare woman departed along with Lisa Cannon and Peter O'Riordan. The show returned to its original half-hour slot and is now based in a new studio.

Aisling recently sat down to watch an episode of the new Xpose and admitted the show doesn't "suit" her anymore.

"I watched it the other night. I got a chance to sit down with my feet up and it looks good, but you know what? It would not have suited me," she told the Diary.

"I don't think it would have suited where I am at in my head now. I'm in a different space. I don't want to talk about Kim Kardashian, I don't care what Kim Kardashian is doing.

"I would have been talking, but it wouldn't have been authentic, which would have been an issue. If you're going to be a broadcaster, what you say must be authentic or else you're a fraud and I don't want to be a fraud. It's young and it's bouncy, but it would not have suited me."

Since leaving the show, her former colleague Peter has departed Ireland to return to Los Angeles where he previously worked for TMZ.

Meanwhile, Lisa is still apart of the TV3 family, working on Saturday and Sunday AM while Anna Daly is on maternity leave.

Aisling insists that she doesn't want to come off as hard done-by.

"There's no point. Nobody wants to listen to you if you're hard done-by. You just have to say, 'Okay, what do I have?' and move on fast. That's the only way," she said.

The mum-of-three hopes to be back on screens in the future.

"I do think I will (do more TV), maybe not with TV3 or but yeah, absolutely.

"I saw some headline that said I had quit TV. I haven't quit TV. I spent 16 years learning it. More than anything, I'm just ready now because there's a lot to learn.

"You have to get over a lot of things and there's a million and one things to learn, but I am ready to make some fab TV now," she said.

Aisling has focused her energy on her new lifestyle website Exquisite.ie and is planning a launch party in January, when she will get the chance to catch up with her former co-stars.

"I'm going to launch this thing properly in January and everyone is welcome. Everyone on Xpose will be invited to it," she said.

The TV star would love to compete on the upcoming series of Dancing with the Stars.

"I would love it," she said. "I would love to get rid of that extra stone of baby weight."
