TV channel 3e is gearing up to air Conor McGregor and Chad Mendes' highly anticipated fight.
3e will air Saturday’s UFC 189 bout, between Conor McGregor and Chad Mendes, on Monday 13th July in a free-to-air delayed broadcast of the event from 9pm.
The main card will also see McGregor’s sparring partner Gunnar Nelson take on Brandon Thatch, while Irish standout Cathal Pendred steps into the octagon with John Howard as part of an impressive preliminary card.
In one of the most anticipated fights of the year, Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor and Chad ‘Money’ Mendes will fight for an interim title in UFC 189, which takes place this Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The wait is finally over and McGregor has made it clear that a change in opponents has not rattled his confidence.
After shifting his focus from Jose ‘Scarface’ Aldo to Mendes, McGregor predicts he will knock Mendes out four minutes into the first round. UFC boss Dana White has confirmed that whoever comes out on top will take on Aldo for the featherweight title, once he has fully recovered.
3e’s coverage will also feature Irish standout Cathal ‘The Punisher’ Pendred against John ‘Doomsday’ Howard as he steps into the octagon as part of an impressive preliminary card.
Also on the main card is popular Icelandic star and sparring partner to McGregor, Gunnar Nelson. A submission ace who has finished seven of his last eight bouts by tap out, Nelson is looking to rebound from the first loss of his career to Rick Story last October.
3e has delayed free-to-air broadcast rights in Ireland with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for delayed access to all Pay-Per-View events from America and Europe.
