One of the most hated villains in Game of Thrones is set to be making a comeback, it has been revealed.

Walder Frey might just be the most hated character to ever appear in the HBO's popular programme, a show that's known for its abundance of dubious bad guys.

Now filming its sixth season, Frey last appeared in season three, where he masterminded the double cross to end all double crosses at the Red Wedding, which led to the deaths of popular characters Robb Stark and Catelyn Stark.

Fans have been calling for his blood ever since, and now the actor who plays Frey, David Bradley, told zap2it.com that he has been told that the show has plans for his character.

“He will be coming back, but I can’t say when,” he said.

"I can’t really say because things are in a delicate situation."

Walder Frey only appeared on three episodes of the show, but that didn't stop him executing the biggest betrayal in the show's history. Bradley told zap2it that he can't wait to reprise the role.

“I do look forward to it, because I do love playing someone so irredeemable,” he said

“I’m afraid he makes me laugh because he’s so appalling that there’s a kind of dark humor in there somewhere.”
