The daughter of the 1983 Rose of Tralee, Brenda Hyland, is hoping to win over the judges on the upcoming season of Britain's 'Next Top Model'.

Alannah Beirne (22) is one of 12 aspiring models taking part in the Sky series and says her mother taught her everything she knows about poise and grace.

"She's taught me how to walk, how to present myself and basically how to be a model," Alannah said.

Brenda took home the Rose of Tralee crown during the festival's Jubilee year.
