It's not often that lasting romance comes from reality TV, but Mr Ireland Karl Bowe is still seeing his date from the Take Me Out show.
Karl went down a storm on the ITV reality show earlier this year and he and his date Rachel Simmons enjoyed a week's holiday together.
They had a rocky start, as dance teacher Rachel (25) is based in London but Karl has since made the move across the pond and the pair are going strong.
"We're the only couple who are still together since the show," Karl told the Herald.
"She's a dancer and she's done a lot of stage work as well, so she understands the business and what I do and vice versa which is great.
"It's mad how it's worked out. She's from London and I know her family now and they're so nice.
"They've been so helpful and they're supporting me while I get on my feet.
"Rachel is great, she's a gorgeous girl and we're mad happy," he added.
Since moving to the English capital, Dubliner Karl had an audition for a role on popular soap Hollyoaks.
"I'm signed to BMA model agency and since I moved over I've been sent to so many castings and auditions," he said.
"I'm down to the last five for the role on Hollyoaks so I'm hoping to hear back from them soon.
"It's a regular spot as part of a family, so it would be a brilliant part to get," he added.
The Crumlin native has landed a number of TV roles, including a part on TV3's Red Rock.
"I've done a shoot for Nike, modelled at the Korean London Fashion Festival in Trafalgar Square and was a Ronaldo impersonator on a Japanese reality show," he said.
"Most people think of the entertainment world as being dominated by women but I want to show that there are lots of jobs for guys who want to be models or performers."
The 25-year-old jetted back to his home town yesterday to audition for the role of Gaston, in the Tivoli pantomime, Beauty and the Beast.
"Even though I'm in London, I still want to work at home and I would love this part," he said.
"I played a Spanish playboy in Jack and the Beanstalk before which was great craic so I'd love to do panto again," he added.
