Presenter Laura Woods could have been celebrating Christmas with a sore bum as she ended up in St. Vincent’s Hospital after taking an ice-skating tumble on Sunday AM.
The TV3 presenter was filming a segment on Dundrum on Ice for the Sunday morning programme when slipped on the ice and injured herself.
Unfortunately the TV3 cameraman was getting into focus and failed to capture Laura’s ungraceful tumble, but presenters Ivan Yates and Anna Daly could not help but giggle when the report finished, where they were joined by Laura.
Ivan joked that there were no children or animals harmed in the recording but that Laura did hurt herself while recording the festive feature.
“Sad to say Laura ended up in Vincent's. She broke a bone in her bottom and had to be taken away,” he said.
Despite her embarrassing TV moment, Laura admitted that an X-Ray confirmed that she did not break any bones and she joked that she has enough “cushion” to protect her from such falls.
“There were no bones broken. I had a good cushion so I was alright. There was a lot of flesh there,” Laura joked.
