But her progress on the show has not only changed her waistline, it has also changed her attitude towards food.

"I'm eating the same amount. I have the odd binge but instead of pizza it's Weetabix - Weetabix is my new pizza," she told the Herald.

Elaine (39) struggled through the reality series, finding the exercise regimes difficult due to her back troubles.

However, she came out fighting and lost an impressive 1st 8lbs by the end of the show to end up weighing 14st 3lbs.

Looking back on her time on the RTE series, the Corkwoman admitted she's shocked she managed to get through it.

Elaine is looking forward to seeing more positive results in the future.

"I'm delighted I got through it. It was tough, in hindsight I'm like, 'How the hell did I manage to do it?'

"It was an endurance test," she said.

Elaine has struggled with her weight in the past.

She gained two stone after getting the call from RTE to take part in the series as she worried about whether she should do it or not.

However, the TV3 host has kept the weight off this time and is thrilled with her progress.

"There was a great sense of achievement as well and I've been keeping it up. Normally, at this stage, I would have piled on all the weight again and that hasn't happened, so touch wood," she added.
