The star of Emmy-nominated 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy said his patient mam Nancy (73) has put up with a lot of nonscience from trouble-maker Baz, which inspired for the Sky One show.

“My mam has put up with a lot of s**t from me- the whole works. The drink, the drugs, the messing,” Baz told The Sunday World magazine.

“I was moved around a few schools when I was younger, which lead to a few awkward chats between Nancy and me.

“She was always brilliant though and never gave me bad advice,” he said.

Nancy parents Baz alone, after splitting with his dad Ussri when he was 7, and the star said he’d prefer it that way if the alternative was to have a bad father.

“I used to think that having no dad around was the worst thing ever, but do you know what? There are a lot of bad dads out there. I know people who have s**t dads. I’d rather have grown up with no dad than have a s**t dad,” he said.

The star opened up about the latest series of the hit show, which has changed format slightly.

“I was very conciousof not wanting this season to be the same as the others. We are very proud of the first two series but another one along the same lines would not do as well. So we put a call out to get the other mammies on board.

“There is actual mayhem at times. I know when I stole a Ferrari in Dubai that she wasn’t going to be impressed.

“This series I made her go up on stage at a Toronto comedy club to do a comedy performance. It was, without a doubt, the most horrible thing I have ever witnessed. It was worse than I thought it would be.

“People actually paid money in to see comedy and they got Nancy. It was total car-crash,” said Baz.
