From Carrigstown to Chester: Ex Fair City actress is Hollyoaks bound

Actress Annette Flynn will swap the streets of Carrigstown for those of Chester when she makes her Hollyoaks debut next week.
Viewers saw fun-loving school teacher Maeve depart Fair City last November after discovering her fiancé Wayne had cheated on her with Orla.
She will now take up residence in Chester where she’ll play a more serious role.
Speaking to Independent.ie Annette revealed that she will play “an officer of the law” on the British soap but viewers will have to wait until Thursday to find out more.
“I play a very different character to Maeve in Hollyoaks because I’m an officer of the law and I’m here to do a job, to find something out and I’m very straight to the point.
“Maeve was very frivolous and flirtatious and you never saw her working. She was a teacher but she was never in school. She was light and fun-loving whereas this character is very much down to business.”
The actress from Ballina in Co Mayo explained that she was made feel welcome by her new colleagues.
“As an actress it can sometimes be lonely. Fair City was like a big family.
“When you’re new you’re always a little nervous and it was really comforting that everyone in Hollyoaks tried to make me feel welcome.
“There’s a real sense of comradery on Hollyoaks with your co-workers and crew. Everyone is really lovely."
Annette is looking forward to making her Hollyoaks debut next week.
“I can’t wait. You’re always a little nervous but I’m really excited”
Her character will be introduced on Thursday night at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
