Ciara O'Callaghan is best known from wreaking havoc as Fair City’s villainous Yvonne but the actress is set to leave the streets of Carrigstown to spend Christmas with Irish favourite Mrs. Brown.
The actress will make her debut on Brendan O’Carroll’s Mrs. Brown’s Boys Christmas special and will play an old love interest of Mrs. Brown’s son, Mark.
Ciara admitted that it will be nice to leave controversial Yvonne to one side in favour of Bubbles McGrath for the festive season.
“I’m so excited to be on set with them all. I’m actually on tour with Mrs. Brown’s Boys now doing live shows so I’m having an absolute ball,” said Ciara, speaking to The Irish Daily Star.
“I was just thrilled to be asked to do it when Brendan got in touch with me, I mean it’s the most watched show both here and in the UK on Christmas so it’s brilliant,” she said.
However, it seems Mrs. Brown isn’t in for a relaxing Christmas with Bubbles as she is set to cause a lot of trouble between Ireland’s favourite mum and her son Mark, played by Pat Shields.
“There’s always trouble in the Brown household and it always works out well in the end.”
The stars of the hit show are currently touring Ireland and the UK and will return to Dublin next week as they get set to play to the 3Arena.
