Taylor Swift retains her spot at the top of the singles chart

In the album chart, The Script secured their fourth UK number one.

Taylor Swift has scored her second week at number one with comeback track Look What You Made Me Do.

The song became the US star’s first chart-topping single in the UK last week.

Another new track, …Ready For It? has gone straight in at number seven, the Official Charts Company said.

Meanwhile, The Script secured their fourth number one in the UK album chart, with Freedom Child.

The Irish band told OfficialCharts.com: “You guys may never understand how happy we are… We’ve worked so hard on it and ultimately the fans decided whether it’s a strong album or not. We’re so so lucky and are humbled”.

Ed Sheeran’s Divide stays at number two this week.

The top five album chart is completed by American Dream, by rock band LCD Soundsystem, The Punishment Of Luxury by synth pop group OMD and last week’s number one Villains by Queens Of The Stone Age.

The top five singles chart is completed by Dua Lipa’s New Rules, Pink’s What About Us, Justin Bieber and Bloodpop’s Friends and Mi Gente by J Balvin/Willy William.
