Christmas morning in Hozier’s house is not very merry, if a recent admission is anything to go by.
The singer revealed the details of a particularly grim Christmas when his parents gifted one another with gravestones.
The Take Me to Church musician shared a conversation he had with his parents on Twitter this week.
“That’d be worse than the time you got me a grave for Christmas…
“You’re underselling it completely, I got you TWO graves,” the conversation went.
Hozier was quick to clarify the spooky Christmas gifts.

“To clarify! I didn’t gift the graves, obviously. That’s a terrible gift to give a parent,” he wrote.
The singer was quick to reveal his plans for the afterlife.
“As I’ve stated in many interviews I wish to donate my body to a large-scale puppet theatre.
“Business idea for the theatrically and inanimately inclined.
“Hand body over to puppet theatre.
“You write the play, ancestors watch for ever”
The singer is currently relaxing in Ireland after a whirlwind few months.
“It’s good to be back in Ireland, rain and everything,” he wrote beneath a video on his Instagram.
