So over: Doggy Do-Littles

Once upon a time, the 'man's best friend' moniker was something dogs earned by rounding up sheep, pulling sleds, or protecting us from wolves. Now, these 'best friends' seem to have no purpose beyond a decorative one; dogs are reduced to being a bundle of fluff that sits in their owner's arms, snarling at anyone who approaches in a clear display of thwarted protective instinct.
Increasingly bred to resemble something knitted by an aunt with a love of alpaca wool, these 'dogs' are confused, to say the least. Lamby, Lena Dunham's pooch has 'published' long love letters to his owner on Instagram, while Marc Jacob's bull terrier, Neville Jacobs, recently went one better and released a book, I'm Marc's Dog, detailing his celeb friends and lifestyle.
We say: give the dogs some dignity! At least Roz Purcell, pictured, seems clear that her pet Wilko is a dog, and not a glove or a handbag.
