Second season of 'Serial' podcast exploring case of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has landed

It was the most listened to podcast series with the first season drawing over one million subscribers worldwide.
Now 'Serial' season two has landed with the first episode beginning the exploration of the case of Bowe Bergdhal, the American former prisoner of war.
Serial host Sarah Koenig has been working on the case of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, a US soldier who disappeared from his post in Afghanistan in 2009, for several months.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance were not straightforward and while he was being held by the Taliban in Afghanistan debate around him raged in the US.
President Obama sanctioned the release of five Guantanamo Bay detainees in exchange for Berghdal's freedom afer almost five years but when he was released in May 2014 he was charged with desertion and misbehaviour before the enemy.
The latter charge can result in a life sentence.
The first season investigation revolving around Adnan Syed, the young man accused of murdering his high-school girlfriend in 1999, drew millions of fans.
