Ian Dempsey has led tributes to late broadcaster Gerry Ryan on the sixth anniversary of his death.
The Today FM host has called on fellow radio presenters to remember the larger-than-life spirit of Gerry by bringing more "craic, chaos and curiosity" to their shows.
"I always instinctively remember Gerry on April 30 - he was such a brilliantly different broadcaster who could directly connect with his listeners.
"He hasn't been replaced, which is to be expected because everyone is different, but there is a void in Irish broadcasting - there's too much reverence and not enough danger and fun.
"I'd love if myself and my fellow radio people honoured Gerry by bringing a bit more craic, curiosity and chaos to all our shows," he said, adding: "It's really great to see all his family doing so well for themselves. He'd be proud of them."
Elsewhere, colleagues and friends took to Twitter to remember the legendary radio presenter on his anniversary.
RTE Radio One's Joe Duffy wrote: "Remembering the boldest and the brightest broadcaster Gerry Ryan."
UTV Ireland presenter Lorraine Keane also paid tribute to the late radio host.
"It was on this day six years ago that we lost our friend Gerry Ryan," she said, sharing an old photo of the pair together.
