Ray D'Arcy's radio show will no longer be interrupted by the Nuacht Irish language news bulletin at 3.30pm.
D'Arcy had complained several times on air about the flow of his 3pm-4.30pm RTE Radio One show being affected by the bulletin just thirty minutes into his slot.
In April he was forced to abruptly cut an interview to accommodate the Irish language bulletin, prompting him to brand it a "ridiculous thing".
Also in April Ray was interviewing Hollywood actor Stephen Rae when 3.30pm arrived and he had to switch over to the team in Casla, Co Galway for the bulletin.
"Yesterday we were in the middle of a very interesting chat with Stephen Rae... and then you have to go to An Nuacht and it does ruin the flow," he said on air the following day after a listener complained about the interruption.
Ray read out listener Liam's letter which described his frustration over the break in momentum of the show.
RTE have moved Nuacht to 4pm as part of the wider action plan, Meanim Ghaeilge, aimed at promoting the Irish language across the board at RTE.
It is believed Nuacht will reach a wider audience at the later time of 4pm.
