Joe Duffy can’t wait for his annual broadcast from just off Grafton Street today.
“I love it, you can’t beat the atmosphere and everyone is in great form,” he said.
The RTE Liveline presenter will be outside The Bailey on Duke Street from 9am to 11am.
He will introduce a host of well-known faces and musical acts as everyone counts down to Christmas Day.
“Brendan O’Carroll and all the crew will come in and with Christmas Eve falling on a Thursday it’ll be very busy,” said Joe (left).
“It’s part of the tradition – Brendan said he wouldn’t miss it for the world.
“They have the Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas specials again this year and he said they’re the funniest ever, so he’ll be in great form.
“It’s great to have him on the show.”
Other guests this morning
include Dustin the Turkey, soprano Celine Byrne and comedian and impersonator Oliver Callan.
It has been a busy year for Joe, who released his book, Children of the Revolution, about the children who died in the 1916 Rising, and bringing Liveline to TV.
He said he hopes Liveline: Call Back gets commissioned for a second series.
