Newly-engaged Louise Duffy has been barely three months into her new afternoon slot on Today FM, but the 28-year old may be in for yet another change as part of a shake up of the station's schedule.
The Herald reveals how 98FM's Dermot (Whelan) and Dave (Moore) may be drafted in to part of the slot that she currently occupies, meaning more movement for the former 'Early Bird.'
This week, it was confirmed that the popular duo will be joining the team at Marconi House in August.
And while a spokeswoman for Today FM was keeping tight-lipped on how the chatty duo will fit into the schedule, an insider said they could be biting into Louise's current slot.
"Ever since the move was announced, everyone has been wondering where Dermot and Dave will go as it's such a tight schedule," she said.
"Ian Dempsey and Ray D'Arcy's programmes are firm staples of the station's schedules, as is Matt Cooper's programme so they won't be changed.
"It's the afternoon slot that they're looking at bringing Dermot and Dave into, meaning Louise's slot could be affected. It's all about finding the right mix in the Today FM schedule."
Louise has been anchoring her own 12-12.30pm show since last April and has been going down a storm with listeners.
The Mayo woman stepped into the seat vacated by Keith Cunningham after his move to Cork.
She climbed up the ladder the hard way, spending three years as the 'Early Bird' on the tough 5-7am shift before being given her new slot.
Louise is also flying high in her personal life, having got engaged recently to Kerry GAA legend Paul Galvin.
Her show is followed by Tony Fenton's two-hour slot, which has been anchored on and off by Phil Cawley as the veteran DJ recovers from cancer.
His show could also be affected by the new signings. When asked about plans for the former 98GFM duo, a Today FM spokeswoman said: "The schedule hasn't been confirmed."
