Today FM producer Jenny Kelly is hanging up her headphones today after 13 years working on husband Ray D'Arcy's breakfast show.

Jenny (40) is leaving to spend more time with her children, daughter Kate (7) and two-year-old Tom, and her last show has sparked an outpouring of support from fans on Twitter.

Amongst the well-wishers were Amanda Brunker, Louise Duffy, John Duggan, 2FM's Nikki Hayes and Jenny's colleague Mairead Farrell, who posted a photo of farewell bunting at the station.

Mairead tweeted, "its a big day here @todayfmoffical @cupidkelly last day .. wine o clock is at noon today :-("

Meanwhile John Duggan referred to Jenny as a "national institution" before adding that he would miss her humour.

A clearly emotional Jenny tweeted her response after the show, "Thank you for all the lovely messages. I am totes emosh (far too old to use that expression ever!!) xx".

Jenny had returned to work after 18 months maternity leave in January this year and, speaking to the Herald at the time, she said, "I didn't want to over think it, but I was thinking about all the little things I was going to miss like when he wakes up in the morning."

Of her decision to leave today, she said she thought "long and hard" over it.

Jenny met Ray in 2000 when she started working on the show and they married last summer in a humanist ceremony in Co. Meath.
