Irish radio station perform random act of kindness for widowed 'hero dad'
There are some people in life who really deserve to be spoiled.
Fiachra O'Ceilleachair is one of those people.
He is raising his three children, Ruan, Sadhbh and Grainne, alone as he lost his beloved wife Siobhan to cancer two years ago.
Family and friends describe him as a hero dad; acting as both mother and father to his family, all aged under 10.
Waterford radio station Beat 102-103 reckoned Fiachra deserved a treat to acknowledge the excellent job he is doing in tough circumstances.
They invited him into studio on the pretence of talking about a charity walk he completed recently to raise funds for the Solas Centre who cared for Siobhan during her illness.
However Fiachra was blown away when they revealed he was being taken to London for the weekend and spoiled within an inch of his life.
They treated him to a two night stay at a luxury four star hotel and gave him tickets to see his favourite football team, Fulham FC, play at home against Birmingham.
Fulham FC even arranged for Fiachra to meet some of the team in the players lounge afterwards.
Ruan, Sadhbh and Gráinne were also given a special treat.
While dad was away the Beat Fleet promotions team took them to every kid's mecca - Tayto Park.
