Brendan O'Carroll will be taking over RTE studios this weekend as he steps in to present D'Marian Finucane Show.

The comedian is taking a break from promoting his box office debut, 'Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie', to present the show today and tomorrow.

He is looking forward to his upcoming radio stint, but admitted he asked the show's regular host for guidance.

"Of course, I won't be able to fill Marian Finucane's seat. However, if I can sit on the edge and be a fraction of what she is, and what she does, I will be happy," he added.

The funnyman is a familiar voice on Radio One's airwaves, popping in every now and then to help produce laughs on Liveline's Funny Friday Programme.

He has also stood in for Joe Duffy, who has a part in D'Movie, as presenter of the monthly live comedy show.
