Panto season may be months away but producers Karl Broderick and Alan Hughes are already on the hunt for a leading lady who can "shimmy and sing on stage."
This year, the producers will stage classic fairy tale Cinderella at Dublin's Tivoli Theatre.
"If we could do Cinders every year we would," Hughes told the Irish Independent.
"It's the ultimate rags to riches story and a real crowd pleaser."
"Doing a panto is a tough gig and an exhausting gig," Hughes said. "But you make so many memories along the way."
The pantomime will begin its run on December 10 and will star winner of the 1993 Eurovision Niamh Kavanagh.
Aideen O'Connor (20) travelled up from Listowel, Co Kerry, for the auditions. "I love the magic of the panto and playing the part of Cinderella would be magic," she said.
Model Tia Duffy said it was the role she was born to play. "I enjoy modelling but being in a panto would be a laugh riot," she added
