Panic in Fair City as kidnap storyline takes dramatic new twist
Fair City kidnap victim Katy O'Brien is getting more and more desperate as her mother's lover Tommy enters the frame for her disappearance.
The Carrigstown youngster, played by Dublin actress Amilia Clarke Stewart, is at the centre of a dramatic storyline that sees her held in solitary confinement by her mystery captor.
Tomorrow night, viewers will see the next twist in the storyline as Katy attempts to forge a connection with her captor.
Katy's panic about her situation is rapidly increasing and she realises that staying onside and keeping friendly with her captor is her best chance.
Last week, viewers were treated to the first image of her captor, but his face was completely covered with a black mask.
Katy went missing from Carrigstown last May after finding out about her mother Debbie's affair with Tommy. After she failed to keep in touch with her family, her dad Eoin became more and more worried.
However, guilty wife Debbie was convinced at first that Katy was just staying away to punish her for her dirty deed with Tommy.
It's also a stressful week for Debbie, who is led to believe Tommy may have been involved in her daughter's disappearance. Debbie quizzes Lothario Tommy about his stay in Kilkenny and his daughter Caoimhe also demands to know where he has been.
He gets caught out by his lies when Caoimhe mentions his son Zak left Kilkenny days before and his cover-up story leaves her suspicious.
Cathal decides to have some fun, knowing exactly where Tommy has been, and suggests to Debbie that Tommy could be behind Katy's disappearance.
Since Katy's disappearance, her parents have split up and Eoin learned of his wife's infidelity with Tommy, leaving the ex-couple at loggerheads.
In the show's 4,000th episode in September, things took an even more sinister turn, when Katy was seen to be alive but being held captive in a small cell.
In recent episodes, she has got increasingly frustrated at her situation, refusing to eat and erupting in rage at her imprisonment.
The kidnapper has also been taunting Katy with information about her family - leaving a newspaper article for her that told how her father, Eoin, had been cleared of causing the death of her brother, Michael, last year.
