One Direction’s Niall Horan is set for a lucrative year since the band’s music DVD made history this Christmas.
The DVD ‘This Is Us’ became the fastest selling ever in the UK – with 270,000 copies sold in the first three days of its release.
Niall (20) - who was able to jet home to Ireland for the festive season - is set to pocket millions of euro from the DVD’s success, and from the band’s ever popular merchandise sales.
One Direction merchandise – which includes life-size cut-outs, dolls, cosmetics, and pillows – topped children’s wish lists in the UK along with the more traditional favourite Lego.
The Royal Mail revealed its analysis of more than 200,000 children’s letters to Santa, with requests for One Direction-related presents proving the most popular.
Meanwhile, Niall had feared that the stormy weather would hamper his travel plans – with widespread delays and cancellations at airports and ports on Monday.
“Looks like we ain’t goin home for Xmas! F**ck you wind,” he tweeted.
However, his relieved brother Greg (27) revealed to one concerned fan that Niall made it home for Christmas Eve.
And Niall appeared relaxed yesterday, tweeting to his fans: “Merry Christmas everyone! Have a great day!”
The star appeared content and ready to enjoy some precious family time.
